UI Green Metric
UI Green Metric World University Rankings was created at the initiative of the University of Indonesia (UI) in 2010. The main purpose of the ranking is to quantify efforts to maintain the environmental sustainability of universities around the world. The ranking also aims to draw the attention of university leaders and stakeholders to global climate change and thus promote the balanced use of energy, water, waste recycling and the development of environmentally friendly transport. Such activities require changes in strategies and attention to environmental sustainability, as well as economic and social issues related to sustainability. The 2010 version of the GreenMetric ranking comprised 95 universities from 35 countries. In 2020, 912 universities from 85 countries took part in the ranking. This shows that UI GreenMetric was recognized as the first and only world ranking of universities in the field of environmental sustainability. In 2020, the National University of Ostroh Academy took 565th place and took 6th place among 17 Ukrainian higher education institutions. The NUOA took 177th place out of 254 universities. In the ranking of universities by the location of campuses in the city center, Ostroh Academy took 74th place out of 158 higher education institutions of the world and 3rd one out of 7 Ukrainian HEIs.
