The National University of Ostroh Academy is the successor of Ostroh Slavic, Greek and Latin Academy, the first higher educational establishment of the Eastern Slavs.

NaUOA Supervisory Board Chairman

Zhulynskyi Mykola Hryhorovych - the Head of the Shevchenko Institute of Literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Full Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, NaUOA Supervisory Board Chairman, Scholar of the Ostroh Academic Brotherhood, Honorary Doctor of the National University of Ostroh Academy (Doctor Honoris Causa), Chairman of the Commission of Revival of Ostroh Academ. Mr Zhulynskyi gives annual inaugural lectures on the topical issues of Ukrainian state formation and the Executed Renaissance for first-year students. Also, he is the Organizer of meetings with famous, cultural and public figures in NaUOA, Founder of a unique ethnographic collection of NaUOA, personalized collection of books in the scientific library and collection of rare Ukrainica in the Museum of Ostroh Academy.
