The National University of Ostroh Academy has joined the KreativEU (Knowledge & Creativity European University) alliance of European universities as an associate partner.
The KreativEU alliance unites 11 leading European universities. Among them is the alliance coordinator, the Polytechnic University of Tomar (Portugal), and universities from Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, and Turkey.
KreativEU is unique, offering a competitive and attractive European educational and research system in which students, researchers, academics, and society collaborate across different cultures, cross-border initiatives, and academic disciplines.
"As KreativEU, in its mission and vision, recognises the inseparable connection between tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as the interrelation of local and national traditions, crafts, cultural practices, and folklore, the relevance of such cooperation is significant for the National University of Ostroh Academy. After all, we aim not only to provide high-quality educational services but also to nurture the nation's elite and to preserve and enrich Ukraine's cultural heritage,"
Eduard Balashov added that the alliance is at the forefront of developing advanced educational and research programmes that rethink these elements and their associated ecological environment and living space, especially in the context of the digital era. This forward-thinking approach is sure to excite the academic community and students alike.
"This eco-cultural vision is a fundamental principle that defines the activities of KreativEU, utilising digital technologies to enhance accessibility, dissemination, and understanding of cultural heritage."
The alliance is also working on creating joint educational programmes and research projects, which are planned to be implemented by 2034, thereby ensuring the sustainable preservation of cultural heritage and increasing the mobility of teachers and students.
