Ukraine's First Unique Patronage Interdisciplinary Master's Programme at a State University
January 20, 2025
The National University of Ostroh Academy has once again confirmed its status as an innovator in Ukrainian higher education by announcing the launch of a truly unique Master's degree programme in Global Communication Management, the first of its kind in Ukraine.
The initiative to establish an interdisciplinary educational and scientific Master's programme was undertaken thanks to the strategic vision and deep understanding of modern educational trends demonstrated by Vitalii Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and Deputy Chairman of the NaUOA Supervisory Board and Ihor Pasichnyk, Doctor of Science (Psychology), Full professor, and the NaUOA President. It is actively supported by true Ukrainian philanthropists who will fully fund the project, an unprecedented phenomenon of cooperation between Ukrainian businesses and public higher education.
Even though developing and implementing this Master's programme is still in progress, it has already aroused great interest among potential applicants. It is not surprising that the programme will become an exemplary precedent in the higher education system of Ukraine, by any measure. It will be the first Ukrainian philanthropic programme where the university will cover all the student's tuition fees. These include education costs, professional internships (including foreign ones), and even dormitory accommodation for applicants of this educational and scientific programme. Altogether, the programme content and learning environment will create opportunities for the formation of a new elite of leaders and intellectual patriots in Ukraine.
Olha Shliakhova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Management, Programme Coordinator, PhD in Philosophy, emphasizes that the interdisciplinary nature of the Master's programme, which allows alums to obtain a diploma in two specialities, International Relations and Management, will broaden the horizons and inspire to think beyond traditional academic boundaries.
"The interdisciplinary Master's programme in Global Communication Management is designed so that its alumni can simultaneously enjoy the professional rights of two specialities - International Relations and Management. Both specialities will be reflected in the diploma. This is the main advantage and uniqueness of the programme. There are no similar Master's programmes in any other Ukrainian higher education institution."
The Master's programme in Global Communication Management broadens students' academic horizons and significantly enhances their career prospects, both locally and internationally.
Presenting the 'Global Communication Management' Educational and Scientific Programme, the Rector of the National University of Ostroh Academy, Full professor Eduard Balashov, said:
"We are creating not just an educational programme but a platform for fostering the next generation of leaders. It is our investment in the future of Ukraine. We strive to ensure that our alums have profound knowledge and are ready to take responsibility for the state's and society's development. 'Global Communication Management' is the response to modern challenges. We combine the best international practices in education with our academic traditions. This will enable students to obtain a diploma and real skills for a successful career in Ukraine and abroad."
Launching the 'Global Communication Management' Programme at the National University of Ostroh Academy is an opportunity to get a quality education and become part of a new generation of professionals who will change Ukraine.
The National University of Ostroh Academy has again demonstrated its strategic focus on innovation by creating an educational environment that fosters true leaders and agents of change.
A special procedure is required to enrol in this educational programme.
