Vasyl Rudenko visited the National University of Ostroh Academy

On May 2, there was organized a meeting with Vasyl Rudenko in the framework of the interactive project "Those who revived Ostroh Academy". The event attended by university students and staff was dedicated the 25th anniversary of the renaissance of the National University of Ostroh Academy.

It is worth noting that Vasyl Rudenko worked as an Advisor on Territorial Issues at the Administration of President Leonid Kravchuk during the revival of the Ostroh Academy. Thanks to the full support and assistance of Vasyl Rudenko, the President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk signed the relevant Decree No. 158/94 of April 12, 1994 "On the Formation of the Ostroh Collegium". That is why Vasyl Rudenko shared his own memories on this subject, and answered a number of students' questions about the prospects of the Ostroh Academy development, topical issues of Ukrainian state-building, and so on.

“I am pleased to be in the Ostroh Academy today. Many years ago, plenty of people did not believe in its revival, but today it is a university that gained not only all-Ukrainian but also international recognition. This was made possible by the strenuous work of the initiators who stood at the origins of the revival of the Ostroh Academy. The University gave a new breath of air to the city in general, which is now without exaggeration Volyn's Athens,” – claims Vasyl Rudenko.
