Professor from Portugal was delivering lecturers at the Ostroh Academy

Professor of the University of Beira Interior (Covilhã, Portugal) Bruno Ferreira Costa visited the National University of Ostroh Academy in the framework of the international educational project Erasmus +. The cooperation of the Ostroh Academy with the University of Beira Interior lasts for three years. In particular, two students from the Ostroh Academy, Tetiana Yuschuk (the Faculty of International Relations) and Oleksandra Aksonova (the Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management), are studying in Portugal.

Professor Bruno Ferreira Costa delivered lectures on the important role of the European Parliament and the peculiarities of Portuguese culture to students of the Faculty of International Relations, the Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management and the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages last week.

In addition, the guest met with the representatives of the administration, the Head of the International Relations Department Eduard Balashov, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Maksym Karpovets. They discussed the prospects for further cooperation between the universities.

“The exchange of lecturers and students within the Erasmus + project is quite important. It is necessary not only for the development of professional skills, but also for the improvement of the international image of the university. The purpose of the meeting with Professor Bruno Ferreira Costa is to establish scientific and cultural links between universities located in small cities,” – comments Marsym Kaprpovets.

Bruno Ferreira Costa possess PhD in Social Sciences, specialization in Political Science (2015), Master Degree in Political Science (2009) and Bachelor`s in Political Science, specialization in International Policy with Internal Relevance (2006). He used to work as a researcher at the Center for Administration and Public Policy in Lisbon and as a member of the International Relations Department of the University of Lisbon. He currently works at the University of Beira Interior at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences. Bruno Ferreira Costa is the university's Erasmus+ program coordinator. He also manages Bachelor's programs in the field of Political Science and International Relations. Bruno Ferreira Costa is an active participant in the political life of Portugal, in particular he has been elected Vice-President of the Portuguese Party “Alliance”, and he is running for the European Parliament and the Portuguese Parliament.
