Student of specialty "Cultural Studies" won in the scholarship program "Zavtra.UA"

The 6^th year student of specialty "Cultural Studies" Nataliia Lisovets won the Victor Pinchuk Foundation`s scholarship program for the second time.

Student of the Ostroh Academy was ranked 25th among 100 winners of the program. A theme of the competition was "Representation of Masculinity and Femininity in Soviet Cartoons". In total 639 contestants participated in the program.

«Zavtra.UA» is the first private all-Ukrainian program for supporting talented youth. Its main goal is to contribute to the formation and strengthening of the new generation of country`s intellectual elite.

The competition took place in 3 rounds:

1. The 1st round (December 2017 - February 2018) includes the processing of registered documents and the assessment of recommendation and motivational letters, as well as the substantiation of scientific work.
2. The 2nd round (February 2018 - March 2018) involves consideration by professional experts of the students' competitive work on the principle, such as each work is independently evaluated by two professional experts. The works are transmitted to the experts for examination without specifying the author's name, course, and university where the contestant is studying. The names of the experts who evaluate the works are not disclosed. The overall score for the competitive work is the sum of the assessments made by the two experts. In the framework of this tour, there is also an evaluation of the scientific activity of the contestants.
3. The 3rd round (March-April 2018) provides holding face-to-face day-long competitions among the winners of the 2nd round in several Ukrainian cities (on the basis of the universities which are Program partners). The goal of the final round is to assess the personal potential of the Contest participants. Representatives of the Fund and experts involved in a specific program carry out evaluation.

Fellows are selected annually at an open national competition. All students from 3-6 courses with high academic success, active social position and original ideas for scientific research are invited to participate.

What gives students a win in the competition?

• Knowledge, since scholar can take part in public lectures with world-famous personalities, scientific conferences and programs;
• an effective tool for finding like-minded people for interesting conversations with active people from all over the country;
• expert and comprehensive support from the program: financial (UAH 1677 per month during the year), informational, advisory, etc.;
• Experience, as becoming the winners of the selection, students develop practical skills in planning design work and have the opportunity to attend events such as the Youth Forum "Zavtra.UA", the camp Youcamp and others.
