Students of the "Public Health" specialty visited the Ostroh CDH for educational purposes

Students of the specialty "Public Health" of the National University of Ostroh Academy visited the Ostroh Central District Hospital on June 5. Hospital epidemiologist Olga Lysenko conducted a practical pre-professional session on the organization of the work of  TPI (treatment and prophylactic institutions) of the secondary level. Ms. Lysenko described in detail the principles of the medical care of the population of the Ostroh district, the organization of outpatient-polyclinic, emergency and inpatient care for adults and children, as well as the major changes that are taking place today in the field of health sector reform.

Students visited the majority of hospitals' departments of TPI (treatment and prophylactic institutions) observing sanitary, and hygiene requirements and anti-epidemic rules and norms, and had the opportunity to communicate and get answers to their questions directly from the specialists of the practical level of medicine.

«Conducting such classes allows to consolidate the acquired theoretical material much better in the students memory and further expand their professional outlook. » - noted the Head of the Department of Public Health of the NUOA, PhD in Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Ihor Hushchuk.
