The problems of cultural identity through the prism of the dialogue of cultures were discussed at the NUOA

The 11th International Scientific Conference "The Problems of Cultural Identity in the Modern Dialogue of Cultures " was held at the National University of Ostroh Academy. The event took place on May 18-19.

The organizers of the event were the Department of Cultural Studies and Philosophy of the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Documentation and Information Activity of the Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management.

The conference was opened by the Head of the Department of Cultural Studies and Philosophy Mykola Zaitsev. Also, the Vice-rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Dmytro Shevchuk gave a congratulatory speech.

“Now the materials of the conference are already in the preparing process. A publication of a completed edition of these scientific papers is planned at the end of May. Also, I expect fruitful discussions during the conference”, comments Dr Sc. (Philosophy) Dmytro Shevchuk.

This is already the 11^th conference. For the second year in a row, the Department of Documentation and Information Activity of the Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management participated in its organization.

The conference participants were divided into 3 sections for discussions. The event was also attended by first-year students of the specialty “Information, Library and Archive Business”.

“Today, science tends to interdisciplinarity. Such a conference helps us to understand the issues deeper and more extensively. We are pleased to be co-organizers of the conference. Science does not tolerate solitary existence. Only interdisciplinarity can help to comprehend the new verities and gain new knowledge,” says the Vice-Dean for Students of the Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management Yuliia Maslova.
