New perspectives of cooperation between the Ostroh Academy and the Masaryk University

The Head of International Relations and Fundraising Department of the National University of Ostroh Academy Eduard Balashov attended the Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic).

During his visit, Eduard Balashov met with representatives of various faculties and of the Center for International Cooperation of the university.

“I have got an opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the Center, as well as discuss the possibilities of cooperation on participation in European mobility projects and joint activities within the framework of grant programs. I also had the opportunity to talk with the Head of the Center for International Cooperation, the doctor Yan Pavlik, and emploees Violetta Osoukhova, Mahdalena Rikhakova, Alena Konechna and Adam Khykl. In addition, a number of meetings with representatives of different faculties took place. I got acquainted with the representatives of the Faculty of Social Studies, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Humanities. We discussed the possibilities of short-term student and lecturer exchange programs, joint researches and publications, the launch of master's programs with an opportunity to get the diplomas of both universities”, comments Eduard Balashov.

According to Eduard Balashov, at each faculty of the University Masaryk there is an international department and deputy dean responsible for international cooperation. Therefore, he met with the employee of the international department of the Faculty of Social Studies Dahmar Khabova, the Deputy Dean for International Cooperation of Faculty of Economics and Administration doctor Peter Smutnyi, and the Deputy Dean for International Cooperation of the Faculty of Humanities doctor Tomash Pospishyl.

“The meetings have been quite productive, because the Czech colleagues are determined to cooperate. The Faculty of Humanities is especially interested due to its study courses on Ukrainian philology and Pedagogical Psychology,” adds Eduard Balashov.
