The student of the specialty "Religious Studies" is a winner of the all-Ukrainian contest in Odessa

May 04, 2018

Mariia Boychuk, who is a sixth-year student of the specialty "Religious Studies", won the all-Ukrainian contest of student research papers in philosophy, obtaining the diploma of the 1st-degree.

The competition was held in two stages: during the first one participants were remotely sending their papers, which were peer-reviewed by jurors, and the students, who were admitted to the second stage, defended their scientific research, being guided by the time-limit of a 10-minute presentation. The event took place at Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University from April 25 to April 28. Participants’ work was evaluated by a competent commission consisting of 17 jurors.

"It makes me pleased that such opportunities for realization in the scientific sphere, where somebody can and wants to hear, evaluate, and give you hope and confidence to further achievements, do exist in our country after all. Motivation is truly simple. But one costs very much, and I believe that it will always bear only good fruit," comments the winner.

Mariia expresses sincere gratitude to her research advisers: Dmytro Vasylovych Tsolin, Professor, Ph.D. in Philology (Dr. hab), as well as Nadiia Heorhiivna Stokolos, Head of the Department of Religious Studies and Theology, Ph.D. in History (Dr. hab), Professor, who trained her for the competition.

We congratulate Mariia Boychun on the brilliant victory and wish her the further upsurge of creative efforts.
