IX Congress of Hispanists of Ukraine

Dear colleagues:

The National University of Ostroh Academy, the Association of Hispanists of Ukraine and the Embassy of Spain in Kyiv are pleased to announce the IX Congress of Hispanists of Ukraine that will take place on September 20 — 22, 2018 at the National University of Ostroh Academy, the town of Ostroh.

During two days the event will last, reports will be presented dedicated to the fields of History, Linguistic, Translation, Literature, Methodology, and Teaching. The program of the Congress includes workshops, work sessions, and roundtables, which will help the participants to improve their teaching methods of the Spanish language and will provide the opportunity to discuss the issues of Hispanic Studies on the Ukrainian and global scale.

Participants of the Congress

The attendance to the Congress will be free. However, to participate as a speaker, you have to meet the following requirements:

— to be a researcher in any field of Hispanic Studies, a translator from Spanish into Ukrainian or vice versa, or a Spanish language teacher;

— to prepare a report in Spanish with a maximum duration of 15 minutes on any of the areas mentioned above;

— to present the report personally;

— to be registered as a speaker.

To complete the registration, the following information must be sent to the Embassy of Spain in Ukraine (emb.kiev.cult@maec.es and to the Association of Hispanists of Ukraine (ahiucr@gmail.com) before June 30, 2018:

• Name(s), surname(s), address, phone, email address, profession, title of the report and a summary of the report (up to 250 words).

The Embassy and the Association of Hispanists of Ukraine will publish the Proceedings of the Congress for its distribution among various academic institutions.
