“Kozatski Zabavy” in Ostroh Academy

Sports and entertainment competition “Kozatski Zabavy” (“Cossacks’ games”) were held at The National University of Ostroh Academy on October, 13. The event was dedicated to the Christian holiday of Pokrova.
“We are patriots of our motherland Ukraine, so we decided to organize “Kozatski Zabavy” to show once again that we are true Ukrainian patriots of our country, and that we are the strength and the future of our state, healthy and intelligent future”,
Three teams took part in the tournament, each of which represented one of the specialties of The Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management (“Political Science”, “Psychology” and “Documentation and Information”), because the organizer of the event was The Faculty of PIM.
“Kozatski Zabavy” began with combat hopak – students of the specialized school “Patriot” showed what they were taught. Then the participants demonstrated their skills in eating varenyky, jumping in sacks, dragging rope, dancing hopak, singing songs.
The juries were the Assistant Professor of Psychology Oksana Matlasevych, the Assistant Professor of Political Science Oleh Sanzharevskyi, the Assistant Professor of Documentation and Information Julia Maslova. As a result of the assessment, the team of political scientists won.
“This year the competition “Kozatski Zabavy” were held for the fourth time. I congratulate you on the upcoming feast of the Holy Virgin. It is nice that our entire Faculty joined the celebration. Participants were able to demonstrate their courage and strength, to show their wit and intellectual power. It was very interesting. Thank you, our dear team. Until We Meet Again",
