Ostroh Academy grieves deeply for Erast Hutsuliak
March 04, 2013
Everybody at the National University of Ostroh Academy was incredibly sorry to hear about the death of ERAST HUTSULIAK, a known Canadian of Ukrainian origin, a patron, public figure, Honorary Academician of Ostroh Academic Brotherhood, Holder of silver and golden Prince Vasyl-Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi Medals of the National University of Ostroh Academy.
Mr Hutsuliak was indeed an outstanding and highly moral person. His course of life is a striking example of a hard-working and obliging man's splendour. He made an invaluable contribution to the development of independent Ukraine by being an ardent patriot and supporter of our country. It is difficult to overestimate Mr Hutsuliak's role in the revival and development of the National University of Ostroh Academy. Owing to the financial help provided by the Hutsuliak family, the construction works on the new university building were quickened. The name of Erast Hutsuliak will be engraved forever on the wall of the observation tower comprising the architectural complex of the new building.
All of us at the National University of Ostroh Academy pray for the peace of Erast Hutsuliak's soul. May His memory live forever!
We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends or Erast Hutsuliak, whose fond memories will remain in our hearts for eternity.
On behalf of students and teaching staff
of the
National University of Ostroh Academy,
Rector Ihor Pasichnyk
