September 12, 2013
For the eighteenth year in a row, a group of twenty young people from Canada came to Ostroh Academy to take part in the international exchange programme Canada World Youth.
Ihor Pasichnyk solemnly greeted the volunteers on 12 September. «In many countries this exchange programme has been cancelled. In Ukraine we started it with four participants, and now more than 40 students every year have an opportunity to enrich their international collaboration experience», remarked Ihor Pasichnyk. «Canada is a wonderful country. We are proud that many Ukrainians joined the development of this programme. With its help we want to bring your experience to Ukraine. I hope that you, too, will learn something from us». Ostroh Academy rector is positive that these 20 young boys and girls from Canada will become true friends of the University.
The participants of the exchange programme shared their first impressions about Ukraine and thanked Ostroh Academy for assistance in developing such international projects. Moreover, the coordinators of the programme gave Ihor Pasichnyk traditional Canadian souvenirs as a present. In return, volunteers received T-shirts with Ostroh Academy symbols.
Tomorrow, the participants of the programme begin preparing for moves towards better healthcare, ecology, economy, social and public sector.
