Ostroh Academy named Sir Ostrozkyi 2013

Bohdan Shabarovskyi, a student of I Malynovskyi Institute of Law, Oleksandr Bukhval, a student of the Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management, Andrii Ostash, a student of the Faculty of Economics, Mykhailo Kuzemskyi, a students of the Faculty of International Relations, Volodymyr Savchuk, a student of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages, and Vasyl Makhliuk, a student of the Faculty of Humanities, entered this year’s competition to earn the noble title of Sir Ostrozkyi 2013.
The contest programme consisted of the four traditional parts: The Introduction, The Presentation of One of the Prominent Figures of Ostroh Land, The Talent and The Testament. Each contestant did their best to present their heroes and their time. The astonishing performances included theatrical staging, philosophical speeches, vocal, dance and humorous performances.
For quite long, the jury could not decide on the winners of the nominations. However, for his artistic and dancing talents Mykhailo Kuzemskyi was conferred the title of Sir Talented. Bohdan Shabarovskyi earned the title of Sir Noble. Oleksandr Bukhval was given the title of Sir Courageous. For the originality of his ideas Volodymyr Savchuk was conferred the title of Sir Unique. Andrii Ostash was deemed the best actor. He won the Artistry Award and was conferred the title of Sir Ostrozkyi OHO receiving a prize from Vitalii Holubiev, Chief Editor of OHO Publishing House.
The title of Sir Ostrozkyi was bestowed upon Vasyl Makhliuk. It is worth mentioning that the audience’s choice concurred with the choice of the jury, because Vasyl also won the Audience Award. He received numerous greetings and presents: a monetary reward from Vitalii Undir, Ostroh Deputy Mayor, a special prize from Studio D and a free photo shoot from the editorial board of the student newspaper.
