The Lubbock Christian University Choir performed in Ostroh Academy

On 11 March, Ostroh welcomed the Lubbock Christian University Choir with the concert programme of sacred music.
The concert featured African-American hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs, including My Soul’s Been Anchored in the Lord that drew especially loud applause. In addition, they sang religious songs in Russian (Glory to the Father, Only Begotten Son, Our Father).
According to Dr. Philip Camp, Director, Our Father is special to all members of the choir. Anyone attending the concert could join and sing it together to create a feeling of unity in a big and loving family. The singing was accompanied by video translation into Ukrainian, and along with the performance of That’s Why We Praise Him a film of the Plant Earth series was played with the permission of BBC.
The choir brought copies of the Holy Bible an CD recordings. The funds raised from the sale of the CDs will be used for rewarding the winners of the contest.
