An exhibition of paintings by Arkadiia Olenska-Petryshyn was opened in the underground gallery of Ostroh Academy. Her graphic works have been exhibited in the museums of the US, Canada, Belgium and China.
The artist had worked in New York all her life. After her death in 1996, her husband handed the paintings over to the National Preserve The Castles of Ternopil Region, because the artist was born in Zbarazh. Owing to the efforts of Volodymyr Chaika, Research Manager of the Preserve, and Olha Stankevych, Tourist Department Manager of the Preserve, the collection arrived at Ostroh Academy.
Forty paintings done under the influence of multiple art trends will remain in the academic gallery till the end of this year. Afterwards, the exhibition will travel to other towns of Ukraine.
