Ukraine 2010: Diagnosis, Projection, Therapy?

On 28 January the Department of Politisal Studies jointly with the Centre for Political Research Ostroh Academy National University held a round table discussion Ukraine 2010: Diagnosis, projection, therapy. The event hosted political scientists from NaUKMA and independent experts. Their reports delivered Doctor of Political Science, Professor Oleksandr Demianchuk, Candidate of Philosophy Serhii Kyseliov, expert on international security Yevhen Zherebetskyi, independent analyst Viktor Zamiatin, Head of SDPU secretariat Olena Skomoroshchenko and Director of the Institute of Social Partnership Yurii Buzduhan. Associate Professor of the Department of Political Studies Yurii Matsiievskyi moderated the meeting. The event was attended by students, political analysts and mass media.
The participants discussed the current political regime in Ukraine, the functioning of political institutions and the evolution of democracy. The experts also expressed their views on future geopolitical situation and possible ways of further development of the geopolitical map.
According to the organizers and guests of the discussion, such meetings facilitate the search for new constructive ideas for the improvement of the current political situation in Ukraine.
