Vytoky Contest winners awarded

The awards ceremony of the 6th annual All-Ukrainian literary contest Vytoky took place on the Day of Ukrainian in the National University of Ostroh Academy. The contest has been held with the assistance of all-Ukrainian newspaper The Day and support of Professor Orest Tsap (Manitoba University, Canada).

This year's nominations included poetry, children’s literature, prose and fantasy. About 200 people from all regions of Ukraine took part in the contest.

After the contest the winners were announced: Iryna Vlasenko from Chernihiv region (poetry), Dmytro Kuzmenko from Zhytomyr, author of Buy an Elephant or Small Adventures of Big Sofiika (children’s literature) and Liubov Yakymchuk from Kyiv, author of To Be Born in Boots (prose).

One of this year's contest novelties is that works by all the participants will be published on the official website of Ostroh Academy at http://www.oa.edu.ua so that anyone can read them.
