A republication of The Book about Common Faith (1598) by Vasyl Surazkyi, one of the most interesting monuments of Ukrainian religious and philosophical thought of the late 16th century, is planned in Ostroh Academy.
Ostroh Academy scholars concluded from the analysis of this book that Vasyl Surazkyi had attempted to define theological and philosophical terms. The Book about Common Faith included even the translations of some Ostroh Bible quotes made from Old Slavic into then Ukrainian.
The book by Vasyl Surazkyi with relevant scientific comments and a foreword is planned for republication at the end of this year.
