The 7th Nationwide Tournament for Young Journalists is opened!

Ostrog Academy Assembly Hall today welcomed pupils from all over Ukraine, who came to participate in the VII Nationwide Tournament for Young Journalists. This competition is held for the second time in the Ostroh Academy National University. The participants come from various parts f Ukraine – starting from Donetsk and finishing with Lviv. Fourteen teams of young journalists are representing ten Ukrainian regions. 

Among the judges of the tournament there is the Head of a Sector of Innovative Technologies Institute of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Liudmyla Pyasetskaya, Deputy of a General Director of the National Radio Company of Ukraine Alexander Butko and many famous Ukrainian journalists and representatives of institutions and departments of education. 

There was held a sortition which showed the order of the competition. In addition the teams were welcomed by first-year students of the newly created specialty Journalism, which last year also took part at this tournament and afterwards became students of Ostroh Academy. 

The tournament will take place in three stages - quarter-final, where 14 teams will compete, semifinal and final, which will determine the winner of the tournament.
