To Serve and to Protect

Yaroslav Holomsha, the head of the Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs’ in Rivne region, visited Ostroh Academy National University.
For one hour the students had an opportunity to communicate with the chief police officer of our region and to get the answers to the most important questions that bother society and youth. In particular, the issues of fighting corruption in state institutions and Ukrainian higher educational establishments, the necessity of cooperation between citizens and police departments and solving the problem of clashes between local population and people who temporarily live in particular area were discussed. Moreover, Mr Holomsha presented the detailed analysis of recent police work in Rivne region, of cooperation between police, Prosecutor’s office, Court and other institutions, which help to decrease crime rate.
Yaroslav Holomsha indicated that meetings with youth are extremely necessary for forming up its clear conception of Ministry of Internal affairs’ work and for giving consultation lectures in order to prevent committing crimes.
