Andrii Demchuk Became the Cairman of the Commission on Information Matters of the Ukrainian Student Self-Government Association

The Head of Ostroh Academy National University Student Brotherhood Andrii Demchuk was elected the Chairman of the Standing Commission on Information Matters of the Ukrainian Student Self-Government Association.
The forum of the heads of student self-government bodies of Ukrainian higher educational institutions was held in Ternopil on 4-6 April. The representatives from the universities of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, Zaporizhia, Lutsk, Ostroh and other cities of Ukraine participated in the forum. It was devoted to the analysis of the work of the Ukrainian Student Self-Government Association in 2007. During the sessions the participants of the forum also re-elected the heads of association committees.
The majority of 132 votes out of 148 elected Andrii Demchuk as the Chairman of the Commission on Information Matters. According to the newly elected Head, he was elected to such position thanks to the skills acquired in the Young Leader School and thanks to his friends’ support. Andrii Demchuk plans to update the USSGA site, to develop the database of the student self-government leaders in educational institutions of Ukraine, to create the committees that would help students to establish their own student newspapers and websites.
