October 31, 2024

The National University of Ostroh Academy is one of the three universities in Ukraine that participates in the pilot project of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the Estonian Quality Assurance Agency (HAQA) for institutional accreditation.

On October 30-31, representatives of Ostroh Academy had the invaluable opportunity to participate in training sessions. These sessions, focused on implementing institutional accreditation within the processes of external quality assurance in higher education in the European educational space, provided a wealth of knowledge about the Estonian quality assurance system.

Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching, Doctor of Philosophy, Full professor Dmytro Shevchuk noted:

«Participation in this project is an important stage in the development of our university. This project provides an opportunity to get acquainted with international institutional accreditation principles and procedures, conduct a self-analysis of educational quality assurance policies and bring them up to the standards proposed by the Estonian Quality Assurance Agency. Such a project allows us to strengthen the institutional capacity of Ostroh Academy and continue the development of the quality assurance system.»

Kateryna Yakunina, Assistant Rector for Strategic Development and Quality of Education, said:

«Assistant Rector for Strategic Development and Quality of Education, Kateryna Yakunina, expressed our heartfelt gratitude to the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the Estonian Agency for Quality Assurance. Their support and the opportunity to participate in the pilot project on institutional accreditation are deeply appreciated.»
