Ostroh Academy is in the top-three among the Ukrainian HEI’s in the world rankings of universities IU GreenMetric 2021

December 23, 2021, IU GreenMetric World University Rankings has published a ranking that has ranked universities around the world since 2010 on six indicators: environment and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water resources, transportation, and education. UI GreenMetric aims to raise universities' awareness of global sustainability goals. This year, 956 universities from 80 countries took part in the publication.

We are pleased to announce that according to the results of the world ranking of universities IU GreenMetric 2021, the National University of Ostroh Academy took third place out of 18 Ukrainian universities represented in this year's ranking, and a total of 389th place in the world.

In particular, NUOA ranked first place in terms of environmental friendliness of the use of vehicles, ahead of other Ukrainian universities. In terms of the level of arrangement and infrastructure and the use of water resources, Ostroh Academy took fourth place among Ukrainian universities. With a view to sustainable development related to the environmental use of energy and climate change, as well as the quality of environmental education, our university ranks 5th among the Ukrainian HEIs.

The results of this ranking once again confirmed that Ostroh academy provides a high level of educational services to its students not only at the level of Ukraine, but also at the world level. They also demonstrate the contribution of our staff and students to the provision of quality education, gender equality, peace, justice and strong institutions, the creation of decent working conditions and economic growth, as well as the achievement of other SDGs.
