"Recreation-2018"

A sports and health holiday took place at the National University of Ostroh Academy on June 14. "Recreation-2018" gathered a lot of students, lecturers, and guests of Ostroh Academy in the territory of the university sports complex. The holiday is the final stage of the annual sports and athletics meeting of health and encourages the students of the university to improve their physical fitness and lead healthy lives.

"We annually hold the recreation in order to take stock of the sports competitions held among the students throughout the academic year. Our students have shown good results in various sports. It was very driving and thrilling today, since I was rooting for every member of each faculty’s team. They have run, jumped, lifted the barbells, played tug-of-war etc. It is nice that the students of Ostroh Academy support and promote the healthy lifestyle," shares his impressions Bohdan Mykhalchuk, Head of the Student Brotherhood of NUOA.

The students prepared the bright dance and musical numbers. The best sportsmen of the year, students, and different sports educators were awarded by Ruslana Kalamazh, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Education, Olha Nedzvedovska, Deputy Head of Labor Union Committee of NUOA, Dmytro Biliuk, Head of the Department for Family, Youth, and Sport of Ostroh District State Administration, Ivan Davydiuk, Leading Specialist of the Committee on Physical Education and Sport of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Rivne region.

The final award ceremony for the winners of the sports and athletics meeting, as well as the money rewards delivery, was conducted by Ihor Pasichnyk, Rector of the National University of Ostroh Academy, Professor.

As a result, one of the prize winners of the sports event was the Faculty of International Relations which took the third place, whereas I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law took the second place. The Faculty of Economics has taken the first place for the sixth time. The captain of the winning team was awarded the Cup of Rector, a main prize of the sports relay.
