The students of the Faculty of International Relations of the National University of Ostroh Academy together with the students of Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences (KVK) will take part in a project entitled “Let’s make a Bridge!”.
The cooperation agreement between the National University of Ostroh Academy and Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences, within the framework of which the intensified cooperation of both universities takes place, was signed on September 12, 2016. Ostroh Academy and KVK have already been cooperating within the framework of Erasmus+ for two years. Thus, this year Anastasiia Verkhovetska, the student of the Faculty of International Relations, has already started to study at Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences, and four students of KVK has arrived in Ostroh to study at the Faculty of International Relations of the NUOA.
The project “Let’s make a Bridge!” is aimed at the development of the competencies required for active social, public, and professional life. In order to achieve this, intercultural cooperation and tolerance among the youth will be enhanced.
The instrument of the project is the creation of the bridge of competencies between the young cities of Klaipeda and Ostroh. The students of Ostroh Academy together with their counterparts from Klaipeda will be undertaking self-reliant activities and taking part in seminars, discussions, excursions, games, and informal sessions for five days. The program of the project implementation also provides for the production of video footage that will constitute an opportunity to enhance the Ukrainian and Lithuanian youth’s different competencies.
The project organizers are certain that the students, who are about to take part in these activities, will gain international experience and develop language skills and patriotism, whereas the successful implementation of the project will foster more intensified cooperation between the National University of Ostroh Academy and Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences.
