Alumni reunion at the National University of Ostroh Academy
June 02, 2018
On June 3, alumni came back to the National University of Ostroh Academy where an annual meeting of graduates took place. Many former students visited Ostroh in order to recall student's days, to communicate with lecturers and groupmates.
"My dear graduates, I can call each of you a child of mine. Every year after graduation, I gave iota of my heart and my soul. I am glad that you return after a long parting to our bee hive, to your Alma mater. And I hope that each of you associate his or her youth with student life in the Ostroh Academy", says the rector of the National University of Ostroh Academy and Hero of Ukraine professor Ihor Pasichnyk.
Igor Pasichnyk also tells about the changes that have taken place in the educational institution over the last few years, and shares plans which the university teaching staff is to implement in the future.
Former students had an opportunity to communicate not only with the rector, but also with the deans of their faculties.
“Every year I come to the Ostroh Academy for new impressions, and every year I see changes. That tree is new, or a sculpture is new, or some technological innovations appear. Everything changes for the better. I would like to return to student years, listen to a bell which announces that the class is started or finished. I would like to again feel the academic spirit, which always soars within the Ostroh Academy”, shares his impressions a former student of the Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management Ivan Valiushko.
The Student Brotherhood of the National University of Ostroh Academy and the Cultural and Arts Center organized for graduates a fair, a charity auction, photozones and a concert program. This year, the academic community was concerned not only with graduates but also with their children. In the park there was a children zone, where youngsters had the opportunity to paint and play with animators.
The feedback about the university is all positive:
“The Ostroh Academy gave me an impetus for life. I have become a history teacher. And now I urge my children to develop and seek their own vocation,” says Tetiana Shul, a graduate of 2013.
