Philosophical Problems Discussed In Ostroh Academy

The All-Ukrainian Student Competition in Philosophy and Religion Studies, which took place in Ostroh Academy National University on 14-17 April, gathered the representatives from different parts of Ukraine.
The participants presented their papers embracing the range from ancient to post-modern philosophy. They also wrote an essay on the topic Virtuality and Philosophy. The lively discussion among young students took place afterwards.
According to the results of four competition days, the prize-winning places were divided as follows: 1st place – Maksym Karpovets (Ostroh Academy National University); 2nd place – Denys Ivanchenko (Dnipropetrovsk National University of Social and Humanitarian Philosophy) and Volodymyr Volkovskyi (National Pedagogical Drahomanov University); 3rd place – Viktoria Chornopyska (Ternopil V. Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University) and Yulia Pakhomova (Volyn National University of Lesya Ukrainka). All the participants of the Competition were awarded with prizes and diplomas.“The organization of the Competition in Ostroh Academy is a kind of communication between people from different regions, which gives an opportunity to exchange the thoughts, to share something new and original. Such activity is a kind of litmus that identifies the intellectual situation in Ukraine,” shared his impressions Maksym Karpovets, a first-year NUOA student of Culture.
