First-of-April Trick from Liubko Deresh
April 03, 2008
One of the biggest brawlers among Ukrainian writers, the author of novels Kult (The Cult) and Pokloninnia Yaschirtsi (Worshipping a Lizard), who wrote his first books at the age of 16, Liubko Deresh had meetings with the students of Ostroh Academy National University two days in a row. This visit was initiated by not less famous Ukrainian writer Oleksandr Irvanets who is also a lecturer of Ostroh Academy.
Liubko Deresh organized a training during which he made recommendations regarding writing composition and the use of language devices.
The author of the books that already became popular among Ukrainian youth answered the provocative questions of the students simultaneously provoking the audience. Deresh’s awkward manner of speaking shocked the students, but at the end of the meeting he greeted everyone with April Fools’ Day.
