Representatives of the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine Visit Ostroh Academy
On November 22, Christophoros Politis, Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, visited the National University of Ostroh Academy.
He was accompanied by Olena Ursu, the NaUOA graduate, the Head of the UNDP Democratic Governance team; Mariia Hutsman, the Head of the Inclusive Development, Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme; Olha Kashevska, the UNDP project coordinator in Rivne Oblast, as well as the representatives of the Rivne Regional Military Administration and the Territorial Community of the Town of Ostroh.

Ostroh Academy Launched Maksym Burda's Permanent Exhibition 'Heavenly Photographer'
November 19 marks 1000 days since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. On this day, the Scientific Library of the National University of Ostroh Academy hosted the opening of a permanent photo exhibition, "Heavenly Photographer", authored by Maksym Burda, an alumnus of the Journalism Speciality of the NaUOA, a famous Volyn photographer and serviceman who was killed near Bakhmut on January 26, 2023.

The Department of Psychology of the National University of Ostroh Academy, in a collaborative effort with the Swedish Defense University (Stockholm), is actively engaged in the research project 'Foreign Veterans, PTSD and Moral Trauma'. This international partnership aims to deepen the understanding of the experience of soldiers and officers in challenging situations during military operations and their impact on their well-being and mental health.

The NaUOA is Among Three Ukrainian Universities in the Pilot Project on Institutional Accreditation
The National University of Ostroh Academy is one of the three universities in Ukraine that participates in the pilot project of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the Estonian Quality Assurance Agency (HAQA) for institutional accreditation.
On October 30-31, representatives of Ostroh Academy had the invaluable opportunity to participate in training sessions. These sessions, focused on implementing institutional accreditation within the processes of external quality assurance in higher education in the European educational space, provided a wealth of knowledge about the Estonian quality assurance system.

Ostroh Academy Is in the Top Five Higher Education Institutions in Terms of the Average Score for First-Year IT Majors
The National University of Ostroh Academy, one of Ukraine's most prestigious educational institutions, continues to hold a high position among the leading universities in the country. According to the data published by the specialized portal DOU.UA, the National University of Ostroh Academy is among the top five higher education institutions regarding the average score of first-year IT majors studying at budget places. The average competitive score of the NaUOA is 176.

Ostroh Academy Сonfirms the Level of Education Quality
At the beginning of the new academic year, Ukraine's State Service of Education Quality (SSEQ) determined the risk levels for the economic entities in higher education. According to the monitoring results, Ostroh Academy significantly improved its indicator compared to 2023. In 2024, the risk level of providing educational activities by the National University of Ostroh Academy is defined as "insignificant" – 15 points, a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement and providing high-quality education.

Retired US Army Lieutenant General Ben Hodges Became an Honorary Doctor of Ostroh Academy
On September 25, the retired lieutenant general of the US Army, ex-commander of the US Army in Europe, Frederick Benjamin Hodges III, was awarded the honorary title of Doctoris Honoris of the Ostroh Academy National University. This prestigious title is a recognition of his significant contributions to the field of national security and defense, as well as his support for the sovereignty of Ukraine. He was presented with a nominal doctoral gown and a diploma certifying the rank.

The First Bachelor Programme Graduates Awarded with the Diploma from Two Universities!
The double-diploma programme of two universities - the National University of Ostroh Academy and the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn - allows students to obtain a bachelor's degree in two universities. Participation in the programme opens the door to studying the conditions of two states and - accordingly - two cultures, education systems, diversity in approaches to understanding national and global problems, and various aspects of international relations during our difficult times. The programme aims to increase graduates' competitiveness in the labour market and expand their professional opportunities. The first graduates of the programme this year obtained diplomas in international relations in Ukraine and will soon receive diplomas in political science in Poland.
